Minna Anthony Common Nature Center
The nature center -- the largest for more than 100 miles around -- is located in Wellesley Island State Park. The nature center includes a museum showcasing the animals and habitats of the 1000 Islands. More than eight miles of hiking trails are open year-round. (Think cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter).
The nature center hosts educational and recreational programs including geocaches and the Voyageur summer canoe adventure.
The nature center is home to the popular Autumn Festival, held each October. Scarecrow making, music and hiking trails highlight the day.
